    Reporting how installation went:

I have PC with Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 64-bit and Oracle Java 8. Other cross-platform programs that require Oracle Java installed and work without problems.

Last page on installation dialog informed me that installation is complete, but offered option to create automatic installation script (for what?). After clicking on next, without creating this script, 3 links to Uninstall CNG were created in Start Menu, without one to start the program, even if I marked during install to create shortcut in menu and on Desktop.

Uninstalling, should try the stable version.

Uninstalled cutting edge CNG, installed stable version. All the same: 3 Uninstall links in Start Menu, none to start a program.

If you have time, maybe you could post some instructions what to do in this case. Thank you.

Accidentally found how to start it: program was installed in file system under username, where Desktop and Documents are. Open folder, find CompendiumNG.sh, right click, Run. Program started. Now have to find how shortcuts are created in Linux. Usually it’s not needed, programs install automatically.

Ah, almost forgot: if possible, add to download page checksums info, for checking if downloaded file was corrupted or changed. Thanks.

sorry, I must have miss your post earlier.
I have added md5 hash to the download page.

Regarding your issue with start icon – could you please tell which exact version you are using ?

I have the start icon properly installed.
Could you check if there is CompendiumNG…menu file in: ~/.config/menus/applications-merged ?

what desktop manager are you using ?
