Development and Source Code
CompendiumNG is developed as Open Source software under the LPGL license. We invite you to participate in the development of CompendiumNG. Helpful hands are always welcome, and we are always looking for people who know how to do some programming in Java. However, there are many ways in which you can contribute to CompendiumNG without being an IT professional or computer programmer. If you are interested in helping to develop CompendiumNG or if you are simply curious to look at the source please feel free to visit us on GitHub. A first step for becoming involve is to visit the developers corner in our forum. Additionally you can also sign up to the Compendium developers mailing list.
Current Developers:
The development of CompendiumNG is supported by number of people who help us with their feedback, feature suggestions, bug reports and general discussion and support. Generally development of CNG is done by volunteers working on the development of CNG in their spare time besides their full time jobs and private life.
Michal l am currently the lead developer of CompendiumNG. My hobbies are generally software and computers especially java, Linux,software design. In my real life I am working as application administrator within mobile operator. This involves many various task ranging from platform and application administration, writing code and scripts, fixing things, reporting bugs and deploying fixes. I work mostly with Solaris, at home I stick to Linux and on the way to Android. |
Sebastian I have been using Compendium for a number of years now and think that this software has a great future ahead. When the possibility arose to ensure future development of Compendium as Open Source I decided to give it a shot and support the development. Apart from working on CompendiumNG I am a researcher in the information area. I am currently located in Sydney, Australia. |
